This was a tournament for new and inexperienced players

MIT Had Roast Beef


HRB went 7-1 and put together the best point total in round robin play
to win the Cujo division. They defeated Wee^4 in the quarterfinals
in a close match (275-215) and bested Harvard Sandbox in the semis
(360-150) before finishing as runner-up to Harvard Surgeon (275-145)

Big Red Royal Rumble IV


October 17, 1997 - Cornell University


This tournament featured "Canadianized" NAQT questions which
really appealed to Don Pedro. MIT went 9-1 in round robin play, losing
only to Penn State Midnight Tokers on the final tossup. In the semifinals
MIT defeated Williams in a close match 275-235 and in the finals
MIT defeated Queen's Eh? to win the tournament. Peter was the leading
scorer for the tournament with Dom finishing second.

An intrepid group of MIT players trekked out in the slush and snow
to make the arduous journey to Harvard to compete
in the first ever NAQT conference tournament.

MIT Uglification


Uglification went 6-2 in the round robin (losing to
Princeton and by 5 points to Dartmouth) and made the playoffs.
Having eaten too much at lunch, the team proceeded to go 1-2
to finish in fifth place overall. Dom was the fourth
highest scorer in the tournament
