The MIT Quiz Bowl team is an organization of MIT students who compete in and host academic trivia competitions. "Quiz bowl" is a collective name referring to a number of similar, but not necessarily identical, question and answer game formats, most commonly involving competition using lock-out buzzer systems, between two teams, typically of four players each, who score points by answering general knowledge questions in a series of "individual-tossup followed by team-bonus" sequences.
