The MIT Quiz Bowl team is a subsidiary of the MIT Campus Activities Complex - Academic Competitions Committee.
NAQT Sectionals 2009 was held at MIT on Saturday, February 7, 2009. 12 division I and 16 division II teams competed in the tournament. Brown took the top place in Division I and Yale A beat RPI 345-265 in a final tiebreaker to win Division II. The top five individuals by PPG were:
- Doug from CUNY-Hunter (D2) with 101.79 PPG
- Aaron from RPI (D2) with 98.93 PPG
- Jerry from Brown (D1) with 81.43 PPG
- Michael from Yale (D1) with 68.57 PPG
- Rich from Yale A (D2) with 61.07 PPG
